The Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation promotes the theme, “Live to Give”. Since its inception, the foundation has sought to identify area organizations, projects and individuals in need of financial assistance that meet the criteria of our non profit status.
Over $1,000,000.00 of monetary and inkind donations have been distributed throughout this region since 2007. Annual fundraising has been earmarked to promote physical fitness and health awareness among the youth of El Paso, however, the foundation also honors academic achievement and outstanding character with year-end scholarships.
Although the financial need for area fitness related projects is staggering, the foundation currently contributes the bulk of its resources to the City of El Paso Afterschool Project, the B Strong Shoe Giveaway, the B Warm Blanket Drive, athletic scholarships, academic scholarships and The University of Texas at El Paso Braden Aboud Endowment for Area Athletes. Funding for these projects are made possible through the generous donations of community organizations, businesses and individuals. Charitable contributions have enabled this foundation to sustain its level of assistance to these recipients on an annual basis. The foundation board has also made significant allowances to expand its charitable donations to other area programs that do not necessarily relate more specifically to the above mentioned projects.
In an effort to maintain its continued giving, the Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation seeks financial sponsors of its projects who are committed to this 501C organization and its vision for the youth of El Paso. Friends of the foundation can be assured that their financial support will be utilized in areas that will target and identify those most in need.
