The Braden Aboud Foundation was formed in loving memory of 14 year old Braden, who died in a skiing accident on February 4th, 2007.
Braden’s Foundation has evolved into a volunteer organization that actively promotes community involvement and goodwill. This Run/Walk is the financial catalyst behind the various projects initiated by the Foundation on an annual basis, that serve as outreach programs to those in need of assistance. The Foundation has proudly raised and distributed more than $850,000 in monetary and inkind donations for this region since its inception in 2007. The 2015 Run/Walk’s 10,119 participants ensure that the mission of the Foundation will continue to support a positive and healthy lifestyle for those that join us in our quest to B STRONG. The annual Run/Walk is one of the largest 5K/10K youth races in the nation. As a result of its success, the El Paso community can benefit from the B WARM Blanket Drive, the B STRONG Shoe Giveaway, the City of El Paso After School Project, school and organization grants, and various other initiatives. As a supporter of the Foundation, you will experience a unique opportunity to witness an organization that promotes health, character and compassion here at home.
Braden (B) would have loved to see other kids have the same experiences he enjoyed in his lifetime, and through this foundation, many are having that opportunity!
The Run/Walk is scheduled the Sunday following Mother’s Day weekend, and seeks to increase its participation and partnerships in order to provide much needed financial assistance to our area youth.
